HAPPY 1ST FATHER'S DAY NATHAN! and HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO MY DAD...I love you so very much. Thank you for providing for me and being there for me during the hardest times of my life. I never would have made it without you and Mom!

Well today is Father's Day and unfortunately Nathan had to work. He does not think ahead of time and forgets to ask off for special days like this and MY BIRTHDAY :) which is this coming Saturday. Oh well, that is why I love him. He will make it up to me by cooking a marvelous dinner on Friday night. He has off Thursday and Friday so we will celebrate then and on those days Ashley and hopefully Jen will join us as well. They'll be coming into town to help me celebrate my first birthday as a mommy. Anyways, back to Father's Day...so since Nate had to work today and yesterday, Reese and I, along with the help of my friend Brandy went and found Nate the perfect gift. He loves the band Coldplay and had a vinyl record of their music. So we got him a record frame for that (which by the way is not easy to find! Our everyday stores do not have them) from a record store in downtown Austin. Also as ironic as it is, Coldplay is playing at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on his birthday this year. So, with the help of our friend Juddy, we will be going to that concert. I made tickets myself though, as a way to tell him that we are going. Then youll also see in the picture I got Reese a onsie to tell her daddy she loves him and a cute little card from her for his 1st Father's Day. Even though he had to work I think he enjoyed his little gifts, I know he was quite surprised. I had them sitting out on our table and he didnt even notice them sitting there! ha

A picture of the dinner I mentioned in the previous entry that Nathan was cooking as I was blogging! Those two meals were some of the BEST I have ever had!
Is Nathan a chef?
ReplyDeletehaha yes he is. Not "technically" a chef but he has cooked for years at very upscale restaurants. He wanted to go to culinary school but now that we have a family, restaurant hours are not fitting. He only likes doing it for family.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I thought about doing that at one point. I am sure he will find time at some point.
