Well here it goes, I was told by my wonderful daughter I had to update everyone on Reese's day. Hopefully I won't be too wordy or dull. This is Nana, as I am known by Jack and Reese, and actually all the hoodlums you know who brought home for us to love. I've been looking foward to seeing Reese so bad and spending quality time with her, I haven't seen Reese since July 4th, so I was very excited.
I'll begin from the start of the day, Reese woke up at 6:30ish, Mommy brought her to her swing, so of course I couldn't see her from her room, so Jack and I moved to the floor in front of her and dozed til about 8:30. I got up and got dressed, fixed my hair, then I turned her swing off. Well of course that woke her up, YAY. I couldn't wait for her to get up. So the day began, she drank a bottle, shortly after Ryan woke up, and man does she love him! She was smiling and cooing at him it was adorable! 10:00 a.m. rolled around and we had to get going. Reese, Jack, and I had to take Ryan to the ball field at Texas Luthern University in Seguin, unfortunately it was too hot for us to stay and watch, so Ryan hung out with the Doty's between games. In fact when I left the field the car temp. thing said it was 106 out! Our way home was kinda funny, Reese started to fuss after I got gas, so I assumed she was hungry we pulled over and I began to feed her, but she really didn't want the bottle. Dumby me, a strange odor came over me, duh, Reese had a present for me. After I changed her, she ate 2-3 ounces, I settled her back in her carseat and off we went. I drove through Taco Bell and Jack didn't appreciate that because I had nothing to share ( I owe him Wendy's).
Once we were home Reese visited with her daddy and Jack and I went for a walk. Nathan left at 1:30 pm. Well the afternoon was uneventful, Reese slept for about 45 minutes after watching Sponge Bob, ate 2 ounces and a few minutes before it was time to go she ate 2-3 more ounces got a little fussy, so I put her in her swing while I got things ready to go. She actually stayed asleep when I put her in her carseat. The ride to the ballpark was quiet, I left Jack home, I was worried I wouldn't be able to handle them both.
Once at the ballpark, Reese was held and loved on by some of our teammates Moms. They are all so sweet. In fact Reese got a cute outfit, and a few cute toys from the Fair's and the Anderson's. She really smiled and cood with them, it was cute. Before the end of the game she drank a couple of ounces, Mrs. Doty held her and she went out like a light.
Ryan pitched a great game, only gave up one earned run and we won the game. He loves having Reese at the game, he always says, "She my good luck charm"
On the way home we ran into HEB, Reese got a little fussy so since Ryan and I hadn't eaten we picked stuff up for supper. Plus I figured this would help settle Reese she got alittle fussy. I think she was ready to get home and get a bath. After all it was about 7:45 then.
Once we got home I bathed her, she played in the tub, ate her Rice cereal bottle, went in her swing and was out within minutes. I put her to bed, but after about 1 hour or so she woke up acting hungry. She drank about 2 ounces and back to sleep she went. She's so beautiful I could just stare at her all night!! So that was our day, I loved every minute of it!! No pictures to share though, my memory card for my camera doesn't fit into this computer so...... sorry. It's Great being a Nana! Goodnight.
